I had Joyce last year and he died and went to mediocrity in the second half. For your sake, I hope he doesn't follow the same format.

I'm hoping that was just a falloff for a guy getting his first full season in the show. He's been really hitting lately and that terrible June just doesn't seem very likely....

But heck, Upton's not doing much of anything.

Without getting too in depth...

The offer is Dan Haren (mine) for Michael Bourn (his).
Pitching cats - W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/9
My other starters - Kershaw, Hamels, Gallardo, Capuano, and Miley
My outfielders - Adam Jones, de Aza, Moreland, Soriano, and Werth (DL)...three spots plus utility

Hitting cats - R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS
His outfield - McCutchen, Pence, Joyce, Quentin, Melky Cabrera, Bonafacio (DL)
Hit starters - Zimmerman, Shields, Sale, Dickey, Latos, Vogelsong, Halladay, Lohse, Fister (DL)

I'm leaning toward "no"...having a guy like Haren who gets K's is a two-cat help without going into any other cat. I was just hoping to buy low on an outfielder, especially with Werth out and Andy Dirks also hurt (dropped for Soriano).

I thnk you get too much out of Haren to only get 2 or 3 categories of help with Bourn

I got Melky Cabrera on my team and not sure if I should sell high on him. I know he can be the center piece of a trade for Peavy because we've discussed it before. Maybe Melky and Tyler Clippard for Peavy? Is that fair for him? I need an unbiased answer. I also have Brett Gardner coming back this weekend(fingers crossed) and he's on my DL right now

I'd definitely offer that. Clippard will close for maybe two months more at max and Melky will eventually remember who he actually is.

after my mentioned trade here is my , presently in first place by 1 game, roster

C- Salty
C-Mac

1b-Morneau
1b- Lahair
2b-Kipnis
3b-Lawrie
SS Tulo (DL)
SS- Desmond
OF- Fowler
OF-Joyce
OF-Kubel
OF- Ichiro
OF Gardner(DL)

SP's

Lincecum
Josh Johnson
Hellickson
Dickey

my league counts saves and holds so hence the extra relief arms

When Tulo comes off, Desmond is gone, Gardner coms off, Ichiro or Kubel is gone

not a bad team IMO, especially since i got Morneau, Fowler , Dickey and Lahair off the waiver wire or free agency
