Default Pretty good video, you know

Here's a link to Buster Olney interviewing Bryce Harper. I seriously want someone to watch this video and count how many times Bryce Harper says "You Know". If i had to guess, I'd say, 80 in a span of 11 minutes. Not even exaggerating, you know. Overall the interviews pretty crappy but it's just funny to see this so called "Wonderboy" stumble every time someone asks him a question.

Fortunately for Harper, this isn't pro wrestling where your career is linked entirely to your ability to talk a good game.

Bryce Harper is talented and he'll probably be able to let his on-field production speak for itself. He may be a bad interview, but as long as he's playing well no one's going to care that he's really just a simpleton who can hit the ball a country mile.

He sounded fine and reasonably bright. I have heard much, much worse....Whether it is "you know", or "like", or "whatever", lots of people today use expletives to buy thinking time rather than to allow some silence to creep between comments.

Considering most athletes are dreadful interviews, it seems like Harper will be in good company. I consider the athlete interview to be about the most pointless thing there is in modern sports coverage.

All you got to is remember the cliches. Crash probably taught him that.

The thing that makes me cringe during an interview is hearing the athlete use improper English... basic stuff like verb tense, for example. This most often occurs when a basketball or football player from Virginia Tech is interviewed. It's a fast and easy way to make your school look bad.
