Hunter Pence was pretty amazing last year. If he can play anywhere near his performance was last year, this could be quite a deal for me. I'm not worried about McCutchen's slow start, he's still putting up some good numbers fantasy wise. Still on the edge with this one.....

Pence fantasy numbers 2011- HR-22, Hits-190, RBI-97, runs-84, SB-8, avg-.314

McCutchen 2011-HR-23, Hits-148, RBI-89, runs-87, SB-23, avg. .259

I guess you have to decide if McCutchen's year was a down year and Pence's a normal year, or if Pence' year was a career fluke type year...

Tough call, but looking at Pence's BABIP, I would be surprised if he does that again this year, even in that tiny park.

Recieved another trade offer today:

Recieve: Tulo, Austin Jackson
Trade: Kung Fu Panda, Nelson Cruz

Ehhh, if i had to choose, i'd decline this. Again, opinions will definitely help. In fact the trade for Hunter Pence that had been proposed to me earlier, I ended up rejecting because some of you guys pointing out key things, so thank you.

Well, if you have a sufficent 3b backup, i would do it. Think of it like this,

Kung Fu Panda=Austin Jackson

Tulowitski> Cruz

Cruz may hit more homers by a tiny bit, but suffice it to say Tulo will add more hits ,RBI's and probably batting avg ..

i would do it. Unless of course your backup at 3b is terrible.

Oh, one more question, is this a week by week or a true rotisserie league where stats are compiled til the seasons end?

a week by week league I might be tempted to keep Cruz and Panda, a compilation league i would make the trade.
(Cruz can be HR streaky and win you a few weeks single handedly)

McCutcheon vs. Pence; Close call but I would go for Pence because the burden of carrying the Phillies offense will be his.

The trade just got revised a little but same basic idea. Since Hanley is both SS and 3B eligible, I'll plug him in at 3B and Tulo at SS. This is a week by week league. The trade is now as follows:

Trade: Kung Fu Panda, Nelson Cruz, Zack Cozart
Recieve: Tulo, Matt Joyce, Bronson Arroyo

this is a tougher call...... Tulo and Joyce is pretty close to equal to Panda and Cruz... Tulo Joyce are a bit better , but it's close, IMO, of you need a starter over Cozart than do it. In fact with Hanley and Tuo you don't much need cozart.

Hell, do it.

I actually got 4 people on the DL right now: Lance Berkman,Brett Gardner, jacoby Ellsbury, and Ryan Dempster.

After the trade and if everyone's healthy, here's how i imagine my team looking:

C: Carlos Santana
1B: Lance Berkman
2B: Dan Uggla
3B:Hanley Ramirez
SS: Tulo
2B/SS: Emilio Bonifacio
1B/3B: Martin Prado
OF: Andrew McCutchen
OF: Jacoby Ellsbury
OF:Brett Gardner
OF: Matt Joyce
UTIL: ?
P: James Shields
P:Tommy Hanson
P:Matt Moore
P:Ubaldo Jimenez
P: Mat Latos
P:Josh Beckett
P:Ryan Dempster
P: Brandon League
P:Jim Johnson
Bench: Bortolo Colon
Bench:Joe Saunders
Bench: Ricky Nolasco
Bench: Bronson Arroyo

That extra Utility spot can be filled with a FA/Trade. Other then that, pretty solid I believe, more pitching wouldn't hurt

Here's the updated version of my team. I traded away McCutchen for Michael Young(Needed 3B and 1B depth) and dropped Lance Berkman because of his injury and picked up Yonder Alonso. Also picked up Allen Craig but he also is hurt. I currently have 4 guys on the DL(only allowed 2 DL spots) so I'm forced to keep 2 of those guys on the bench. I was able to pick up Mike Trout of the FA list also before he got hot so I got lucky there. Made a trade also where I gave up Martin Prado and Jim Johnson for Melky Cabrera,Derek Lowe, Shaun Marcum

C: Carlos Santana
1B: Michael Young
2B: Dan Uggla
3B: Hanley Ramirez
SS: Troy Tulowitzki
2B/SS:
1B/3B: Yonder Alonso
OF: Matt Joyce
OF: Mike Trout
OF: Melky Cabrera
OF: Denard Span(plan to drop him as soon as some guys get healthy)
UTIL:
Bench: Allen Craig*(trade/UTIL, will hopefully return in a week or so)
Bench: Emilio Bonifacio* (will take 2B/SS duties, will return in about 2 weeks)
DL: Brett Gardner* (trade/UTIL, around 2 weeks or so)
DL: Jacoby Ellsbury*(will take Denard Span's spot, rough estimate in early July)
P:James Shields
P:Tommy Hanson
P:Mat Latos
P:Matt Moore
P:Ryan Dempster
P:Bronson Arroyo
P:Shaun Marcum
P:Chriz Perez
P:Brandon League
P:Ricky Nolasco
P:Ubaldo Jimenez
Perek Lowe(wanna trade him)
P:Chris Capuano(my ace so far)
P:Josh Beckett

That's my team, I would love to trade for some pitching but it's not like I'm deep in any position where I can trade away from that departnment and not take a huge hit. I'm being offered Youkilis for Matt Moore. Thoughts? I would have Hanley fill the 2B/SS slot and have Youk play 3B.

Here's a trade offer that I just had accepted (well his offer and my counter offer that he accpted)

Matt Joyce
addison Reed

for

Justin Upton

I countered with:

Upton and JA Happ

for Joyce and Hellickson

and he agreed.

at first glance this may look like i'm making a bad deal , but I honstly don't know why he wants Upton as he has seriously underperformed this year and Joyce is lighting it up, but if he wants Upton's reputation he can have it, Joyce's OPS is like .944 right now
