I got an offer right now on the table. I would recieve Tex and trade away McCutchen, not a huge offer but it can help. Here's my current roster:

Thoughts? Should I try to trade for pitching instead? Help please! I'll take anybody's opinion just post!

If i were you I would keep McCutchen and try and work a trade for a pitcher With Goldschmidt. He's going to put up good numbers there in Arizona , but your offense looks pretty good.

What pitchers does the Texiera offereing guy have?

If I were him I wouldn't do it. He's got Tex manning first so he doesn't need Goldshmidt. Plus I kinda like him, I'd rather keep him, if really wanted to create a splash I have no problem trading Hanley. I believe Zack Cozart can handle the SS duties, and Hanley can probably net me a #2 starter and an average position player. Problem is the guy already has Tulo so he really doesn't need a SS either.

Goldschmidt is a hell of a Utility guy though (I know I have him in my $150 league as such)


I dunno, but IMO, you don't need more bats, you need a wee bit more starting pitching

Many times the best trade is the one you don't make. You have a good team though a bit shallow in pitching. You don't need Tex. Try opening up a bit and tell the other guys that you are seeking a pitcher and are open to offers. Then you will be able to better gauge how the others value your players.

Need your guys's opinions. I got offered this trade:

Recieve: Tulo,Adam Jones
Trade: Sandoval,McCutchen

Seriously, I think I should do this trade. Ellsbury is on the DL for so Jones will take his place. Prado can play third for me, and I can move Uggla to the 2nd base slot and have Tulo play 2B/SS. That's a good trade right?

I don't play fantasy baseball (used to play Strat-o-Matic), but damn, I think I'd do it too. Whom does the other guy have at SS other than Tulo??

I'm not a huge fan of Adam Jones, but he's actually hitting this year, and getting Tulowitzki would clinch it for me. From your perspective, the deal makes a lot of sense.

Yes, do it yesterday. Tulo is close to being worth kung fu panda and McCutchen by himself

I'd second that. You don't trade away Tulo for pretty much anything in the world.

That's funny you guys say that because he's now becoming more and more hesitant to send that trade. Still hoping I can get it done, but now odds are probably at 40-60. I'll try to push him to do it though. I'll keep you guys updated and btw guys I'd love it if you guys were to post your own fantasy issues, this thread isn't centered around me, though I'd feel mighty special about that

My biggest issue is my $150 league added holds as a pitching stat this year and it's a PITA keeping a setup man on the roster. especially since one lousy inning can mess my weeks team ERA up

McCutchen and Pence , fantasy wise, appear to be the same player ,with the exception of stolen bases. McCutchen is gonna steal 15-20 more bases than Pence, though Pence may hit 3-5 more HR's....

I wouldn't make that deal. McCutchen has started a bit slow, but his numbers will probably be all around better, even by Fantasy standards where WAR and such don't matter
