The offseason looks just about finished so it is about time we get reacquainted with our Atlanta Braves v. 45. Over the next series of blog posts (that should also get me reacquainted with blogging), I will preview the different positions of the 2010 Braves and their chances for success.

Frank Wren focused on starting pitching in the 2008-09 offseason, trading for Javier Vazquez and signing Derek Lowe and Kenshin Kawakami. All the while, he made...

So the Mitch Jones signing got me thinking a little bit. I spent much of my day at work pondering what it could mean.
Initially, I felt as if Jones represented a Plan C to signing a stop-gap free agent like an Xavier Nady (Plan A) and backing that stop-gap with another stop-gap like a Chad Tracy (Plan B; a platoon). I had almost decided to take it for it's face value; a minor league signing for fodder and a contingency plan for failures of Plans A and B, but I before posting my thoughts...

Recently, a fellow Chop Nation blogger, Rap, has also pointed out the apparent silliness of these rumors/ideas and I generally agree with him. However, there is a way to make...

Ok...so last week I discussed what I would do if I were in Frank Wren's shoes as General Manager of the Atlanta Braves. Again, this is not what should be done, but rather what I would personally try to do based on what I have observed thus far into the young (and somewhat premature) off-season.
In part 1, I discussed the starting rotation and came to the conclusion rather easily that Javier Vazquez is my easiest sell in regards to a trade this winter and that if Hudson is willing...
