It's 10/10/10 everybody!
Just a few notes since the lineups are not out yet. Seems the Braves are leaning toward seeing Wagner's latest evaluation before making a decision. So, for today, it appears the Braves will go with a 24 man roster. If the Braves replace Wags on the roster, they could not use him in the next round (provided they make it that far). They could bring him back for the World Series, but getting there would be a lot easier if they can call on Wagner in the NLCS, provided it's an option. Though, it does seem like a stretch.
Derek Lowe will likely get the Game Four call. Can't fault that decision. I know some think Beachy is the next star, but I haven't been all that impressed.
Lineup just posted via DOB's twitter...
1. Infante 3B
2. Heyward RF
3. Lee 1B
4. McCann C
5. Diaz LF
6. Gonzalez SS
7. Conrad 2B
8. Ankiel CF
9. Hudson RH
Braves haven't won back-to-back playoff games since 2002. Time to buck that trend.

23 man roster if you account for Melky. This team has it's work cut out for it and it starts with Hudson pitching like he did for 90% of the season.

"We'll mix and match the seventh, eighth and ninth innings," Cox said. "Whoever matches up those particular innings, that is who is going to be out there. We'll close with whomever. But I've always thought Moylan could close, and Farnsworth has closed in the Major Leagues. Venters, there's no reason he can't, as well as Kimbrel."

Part of Bobby Cox's press conference was just on MLB Network. He said Derek Lowe is definitely starting tomorrow and they're petitioning to add Saito to the roster in Wagner's place.

The official (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=ApfSP1T8QXmnAdz9edAwr685nYcB?slug=ap-braves-wagner) word is in. Billy Wagner has been replaced by Saito. Unless the Braves go to the World Series or Wags changes his mind on retirement, that toss to first was the last thing Wags will ever do, capping off a superb career.

Well, no one will remember Billy for how he went down. They'll remember his 400+ saves and "Enter Sandman" and his small stature baffling nearly everyone he faced.

I agree. I'd be fine with Hinske starting at 3B, moving Infante to 2B, and then putting Glaus in at 3B in the late innings like in game 2.
When you are struggling, the ball always seems to find you... and that's happening now to Brooks. I like the guy, but he's hurting us and something needs to be changed immediately before we lose 2 more games.

Because for some strange reason Bobby thinks no one else can play 2nd base.
Actually, he apparently doesn't trust anybody else to play third base, so he can't use Infante at 2nd. If he trusted Hinske or Glaus there, Infante would be at 2nd. Frankly, I don't think I can blame him. Perhaps one of those two could be passable enough over there, but there isn't much reason to feel confident of it.
Might be worth a try though, just to get their bats in a game.
Dreamscape

Anyone else miss the McCann grounder?
I did. It was frozen on the pitcher.

16 pitches through the first 2 hitters, and Diaz swings at the first pitch. We can't hit LHP. Isnt Diaz the 6.876OPS (or other gawdy #'s that everyone says everytime I mention that he sucks except for 1 or 2 week long streaks a year), Masher of LHP. Cant wait to say goodbye to a number of these guys at the end of the season.

Conrad should do the right thing and ask to sit. If he wants the team to win, he has to realize that his head is not in the game. If Bobby plays him, he should be fired before he can retire

I do feel bad for Conrad. He's completely miserable out there and scared of the ball. And Bobby keeps "believing" in him. For a guy who has spent his whole career as the guy who puts his players in the spot to best contribute and succeed, he's destroying Conrad.
