Braves down 6-1 in the 8th, as Derek Lowe blows again (lasting only 2.2 innings).
Does anyone think that Wren will make a prodigious effort to get rid of him this off-season? I really hope so.

I hope Wren can find a sucker out there. I'm afraid the Braves will need to eat at least half or more of his salary for some team to take him off our hands and that will be difficult considering Lowe seems to be getting worse with each outing.

The Marlins give us a couple of runs to make it 6-4 going into the 9th. BTW, Rick Ankiel sucks.

Maybe this will shake off that awful loss in Colorado and spur a nice little winning streak

Now if the Padres can just man up and win a game against the Phils at home.

Padres:rolleyes:
Seems like they have trouble winning against the big boys.

From DOB (http://twitter.com/ajcbraves/status/22469848324), post-game: Lowe had trouble gripping ball, wouldn't say if his hand was numb, or if his hand or forearm could be injured. #Braves (http://twitter.com/search?q=%23Braves) made no announcement
His hand looked purple on my TV. I'm not Lowe's biggest fan, but I hope he's okay.

And no, they couldn't.
Phillies sweep the Padres.

Medlen is going to get a stern talking to trying to take part in that celebration.

Uhh, bring up Beachy cause we might need him to take Lowes spot.
If a forearm is getting purple because of circulation either surgery or just plain rest needs to be done.
And frankly... I think Beachy would give us a better chance right now anyways.

Nah, he's still got his soft cast on and his arm contraption protection thingie. He was there on Saturday too, dressed out in the dugout. They wouldn't let him be there if he wasn't okay. :)

I think it's great that he's supporting his teammates.
I also think when everyone's jumping up and down, he should stay to the side. If the Braves do win it all, he better not jump into the pile.

Lowe has never been on the DL by the way.

Lowe has never been on the DL by the way.
With the expanded rosters, there would be no real reason to DL him now unless the Braves make the postseason and he's unable to pitch.
