Chipper just put us on the board in the bottom of the first with a 2 run double. Happy Fathers Day everyone.

KK gave me another great Father's day gift.

Well, at least Kawakami didn't deserve a win today. I'm glad to see Bobby used Martinez as a long reliever, which saves some other people innings.

And the pinch-runner for Hinske pays off as Hicks crosses the plate on a shallow left-field grounder.

Three runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead, and Wagner coming in to close it.

Glaus... gets injured diving at home plate on a play he didn't need to. Kendry Morales-like. Melky gave him the 'Stay standing sign'... Glaus still slides. Now he ges taken out by Cox. Looks like he's limping (hamstring injury). Sigh... Prado playing 1st, Hicks at 2nd, Escobar at SS, Chipper at 3rd.

He was going from first to home on a double, so it's not unusual that he felt he would need to slide. He was barely limping, so it was probably more precautionary that Bobby pulled him, particularly with the need for solid defense in the 9th.

I'm not sure I think keeping KK in the rotation when JJ returns is such a hot idea. In fact, I don't think it's a good idea at all.

That's four games in a row for Wagner. The Braves get another much-needed day off Monday.

I just saw the box score .... Kyle Davies walked 7 batters today so I guess he still has a major league arm and the make-up of little leaguer. LOL.
Gawd, how I disliked Davies who easily was my least favorite Brave over the past decade.

Someone's comment on AJC stated that Glaus left the game today due to a cramp. That's good because we can ill-afford to lose this guy.

Kimbrel looked scary today... in both the good and the bad.

Considering how well kid brother Kris Medlen has pitched, I'd say I agree with you. KK to the pen.

Looked like Kimbrel may have grown a pair at the major league level. If he can build on this and gain Bobby's trust this pen gains a huge arm.

He unnecessarily slid into home when he could have easily made it in standing. Melky had his arms straight up; it was ridiculous. Sliding for show always pissed me off.

Man, I don't know. At least Davies seemed humble. His failures were just as much a product of being rushed to the majors by upper management as anything else.
A stint in AAA probably would have keyed in a lot of folks on his need to development command of his pitches, and despite all that hype that claimed how smart he was, I was never all that impressed with his pitch selection or ability to manage an at-bat.
Having said all of that, I don't even see how Jeff Francoeur doesn't top the list.
Over hyped? Check.
Bought into said hype? Check.
Failed to live up to said hype. Check
Failed to be productive in any capacity as a Brave. Check.
Criticized the organization when they called him on it. Check.
Self-righteous sense of entitlement. Check.
More criticism when he was sent packing. Check.
He plays for the enemy now. Check.
I don't think I'll ever loathe any other ex-Brave more than he.
