Yeah, I'm bringing it back from the dead. I'm organizing my Downloads folder after a long time of just downloading. I don't need folders for each band, but I like to keep it somewhat organized.

A Static Lullaby - Let Go...a cover of Frou Frou's song from Garden State. It has its moments, but it's a little too screamo.

"Take Me Home" by After Midnight Project, though, is a goodie.

30 Seconds to Mars - Kings and Queens

Every now and then, 30 Seconds to Mars puts out a good song. To a lesser extent, they are like Pearl Jam or Incubus. The albums are not very good, but there is a song or two that are keepers.

sdp, you have Dream Theater in your signature. How in the world do you go from a great band like Dream Theater to Lady Gaga? I'd say something is definitely wrong.

The connection is right there if you would bother to really think about it. Johnn simply said that it isn't the genre that is important but how good a song is.

I tend to not like pop music generally, but it is great workout fuel. When I'm running on a treadmill, Dream Theater and my metal flavors just don't do it for me.

At any rate, Lady Gaga knows how to create catchy tunes.

Paparazzi (http://lala.com/zYK)'s not bad. She was the second opening act for New Kids on the Block in Fall 08 -- my friend and I didn't know what to think about her songs or her pantslessness, but we did like her hair bow made of hair.

When my daughter was in high school she said to me that I was the only dad of all her friends that was into Guns and Roses. My response to her was to ask her what I alwys taught her. She reponded and said that one shoulkd appreciate the music and separate it from the lifestyle and habits of the artist because it is the music that is important. Thus, I give a rat's ass what Lil Wayne looks like with all the tattoos all over his body because it is his body and that is his choice. I do wonder how he going to feel about them when he turns 60 or even before.

Chris, what didn't you understand? I finally listened to Lil Wayne and think he is special and before that I was confusing him with another guy who has a similar style of dress and sings in the same music genre but turns me off because he has those huge braces which are there for cosmetic reasons and not for whatever they were designed for which I find very unbecoming.

Well the guy with the mouth jewelry (as you call it) has about as many tattoos as Lil Wayne anyway. Plus it is a matter of personal taste and maybe age because I remember, when I was growing up, seeing many black people with metal in their mouth simply because they couldn't afford what is more affordable today.

Were you listening to the cd or watching the dvd? I saw this at it's theatrical premiere, and it was awesome, but since the surround sound cut in and out and the picture went out completely during the encore, I got my money back and a free poster for the event. I was thrilled after I saw it, even with the miscues, so getting a refund and a poster was just icing.

It's just a simple disagreement. You think Linkin Park is one of the best ever. I can't sit through one of their songs without wanting to shove chopsticks in my eyes, so people who see me will scream so loudly, I won't have to hear the Linkin Park music anymore.
