Unfortunately, I can't make it to Atlanta in an hour, but would jump on this opportunity if I were there. I've been waiting all day for the game to start. I'm expecting a big performance from Hudson.

I'm not one to wish ill on anybody but Johnson just got over the flu. When I had the flu I was pretty weak for awhile.

I hope you feel better Josh, but at the same time I hope you're at 50% energy just like the rest of us are after we recover from the flu! (at least tonight)

Guys often pitch very well after illness or cuz they are a little tired. It seems to make the ball move more and they don't overthrown as much. Butheck, the way this team is playing now, it seems we could win a 3 game series against Koufax, Gibson and Drysdale!

Bad night to have Mrs. Hudson in the booth. I bet she's crazy nervous.

Marlins have an early lead, but Diaz-Escobar just threw out the catcher trying to score 2 on Johnson's single. Hudson escapes the 2nd with only 1 run scoring.

JanShan12
09-29-2009, 07:50 PM
Escobar with a 2 out single and then stole 2nd for LaRoche. A base hit would be nice.

Never mind. LaRoche strikes out.

Hudson's slider is looking really good.

Nice to see McCann throw someone out at 2nd.

Attaboy Timmy. That's more like it. Better stick with the slider tonight.

Mrs. Huddy is the most level-headed and normal of all the wives I've been around. She's seen him pitch in bigger games -- I don't think she is/was nervous at all.

By the way, if anyone's interested in volunteering with the Hudson Family Foundation, I have a connection over there and can give you more info.

The Brewers need to make me proud and ameliorate the Braves playoff situation. Right now it's in a huge abyss. Hopefully some umpires advocate for Brewer pitchers. Do I hear antipathy for Chipper? Don't antagonize him, he's archaic and might ride a horse out of the stadium in disgust. Hopefully BC articulates well in the postgame press conference. The Braves need a catalyst tomorrow or there will be chaos in the Braves world. I'm a chauvinist when it comes to the Braves. Losing teams are banal you know. Attenuate that lead and go Braves.

That sucked. At any rate, this is a difficult way to do things. You've got to be even keeled over the course of an entire season. Trying to go on an insane 13-game winning streak to end the season is just too much. The door is still open, but it's closing quickly. Gotta win out from here.

I think we can win 5 in a row too. But I'm afraid that won't do it any more. We need to win 6 in a row (counting the play-in game) and the Rockies need to lose 4 of 6 (assuming they win tonight and counting the play-in game) in order to make the playoffs. Our half court shot just became a full court shot.

The Braves need to win tonight and hope they can make up the game they lost yesterday. It's not unreasonable to think that the Rockers could lose 2 of 3 in LA, especially if LA is fighting for home field advantage (which it appears they will be with their recent losses) but to be 3 games back with 3 to go is... well, not good. I think even Gilley and AB would not like our chances. Got to keep fingers crossed that Colorado loses tonight (and/or tomorrow.)
