Here are some stats to consider, they're the splits for Prado this season.

I consider myself to be as big of Prado fan as practical. He's not going to be a superstar and I doubt he'll have an extremely long career in the majors. Taking a look at his stats he had a marvelous summer, getting hot when the Braves and KJ figured out he needed to heal from his injury.

Take a look at August and now into September. Those numbers aren't starting 2B quality, which leads me to the question, which is the real Prado, or is he somewhere in between? I'd have to say he's in between sightly towards the worse stats. This isn't the type of player to count on to be an everyday 2B for an entire season. Seeing he can play most anywhere one should value him as someone who can come in and solidly fill a hole instead of stinking up the joint like Norton, Tony Pena, Keith Lockhart, or your favorite bench bum would. Teams need players like this but not as starters. My rant is done.

Great job on the scrolling thingie! Interesting how he is sliding down after he had a hot run. Interesting but pretty typical. Give this treatment to oh, say, Chipper and McCann and see how their years have gone, just as a comparison. It should be quite interesting. Nice work, KB.

Why not? McCann has been going down hill all season.

No good way to describe Chipper other than recently he has sucked mightily.

Prado's dropoff these past 4 or 5 weeks also coincide with when his extremely painful headaches and dizziness started. Many look for him to fall after doing so well early. But he's proven himself up here over 3 seasons or so. His norm is probably somewhere between earlier in the year and now.

Good call, Rik. Thanks for the other numbers, KB, they suggested about what I figured. McCann may be young enough to rebound. Prado has proven to be a ML caliber player. Both would be better served playing for a manager who doesn't feel compelled to play the s#!+ outta them! Of course a team would need quality backups,,,,oh yeah, the Braves pretty much have some!
As for Chipper, well, if you want to put him in the same group with Prado and can him just because, I'd say go for it. He may soon find out how a Glavine or Smoltzie got that "forgotten man" feeling...
