I'm not one to believe that when players don't play well you fire the coaches, but something is inherently wrong with what Pendleton is teaching. Almost every single player on the Braves is showing a declining ability to drive the baseball with authority. They've got to get TP out of there. Slugging percentages don't just drop universally across an entire roster. If they keep TP around long enough he'll turn McLouth into Juan Pierre. He already messed up KJ by pushing him to be a more agressive hacker like he was in his playing days. Even McCann and Chipper are on a pace for 20 hrs if they're lucky. I just don't get why Pendleton is still in that role? He has had horrible results for a number of years now. There's a noticable degradation in hitting performance accross almost everyone on the team.
I wouldn't even want to work for a company that continued to pay me well if I kept putting out crap results like that. Hey if he's a good baseball brain then make him a bench coach or send him out to manage one of the minor league teams. But get him the eff out of the hitting coach role. He's doing something very wrong with this team and it should be obvious even to the oblivious.
