The other teams are going after pieces in order to improve their teams. We better do the same.

I fully expect us to add a rh pen arm and bench bat. I don't forsee any major trades.... but you never know what good dealz could pop up

We'll just get the annual ritual of the Braves, their players and their media, droning on and on about "we're excited about who we're getting back from the DL! Also [insert flailing Major Leaguer here] will come around and pick it up in the second half. That's like making three acquisitions right there!" Like no one else is going to get hurt all season or something.

I don't really take issue with this assertion, but I do get tired of hearing the same crap every season.

In addition, most teams are having the same thing happen for them. Both Madsen and Lidge are starting rehab assignments for the Phillies. Victorino and maybe Oswalt are on the mend, too. Of course, they too could suffer more injuries, but the idea that "oh, Prado and Moylan are back...it's like two huge trades" is so annoying. Just about every team is getting people back off the DL. Just about every team will have players go on the DL in the second half. Adding players via trade...now, not so many teams will be doing that. I will be very disappointed if this team doesn't make a move for a CF before July 31. And no, a guy like Rick Ankiel won't be enough.

After reading this (http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-braves-blog/2011/07/14/q-and-a-with-braves-gm-frank-wren-on-first-half-trade-needs-etc/), I don't think Wren will be adding a CF or anyone else before the deadline. He seems content with the team as currently constructed. Decent interview as DOB did ask some pertinent questions.
