Every day I hope I'll log on and see a lineup I like... and I'm still waiting.

This is not a great start.

Wow, KK has got NOTHING tonight. He must have eaten some bad crab cakes or something. Fortunately, Wieners swings at ball 4 and the Braves are only down 2-0 after 1. KK must have thrown about 100 pitches in the first inning.

...Prado was "healthy" enough to play third last night, but today, the Barbarian is at first and Prado DH's?

Bobby confuses the hell out of me. I haven't even got to the Francoeur part of the equation.

Adam Jones is a good ballplayer, fyi.

Frenchy with the bases juiced here with 1 out.

Hill keeps throwing hittable pitches to JF on an 0-2 count. He obviously didn't get the memo. 3-2 Braves on doub.

And he come through with a ground rule double. Two runs score. Good AB for Frenchy.

Did Hill throw a strike?

That really was a great at-bat by Francoeur.

In other news, hell is a cool 66 degrees today.

Frenchy thrown out at the plate by his old buddy from home, Markakasakis. 4-2 Braves

Francoeur was safe at the plate. The tag missed him.

I guess. I think JF swang at 5 or 6 straight pitches. I would call it a really bad pitch sequence by R Hill.

Prado was limping a lot last night. I would have been surprised if the played the field tonight. If he didn't hit that homerun Hernandez might have gotten to play.

Very close but I think you're right. The Braves really seem to be on the short end of the bad call list this year so far.

You know, if ol' Chipper isn't too cool to catch popups with 2 hands, why are some of the young guys?

KK finally settling down a bit after struggling early.

Barbaro has been quick out of the gate since his call-up. He's hitting .333 and has looked pretty good at 1B.

Last night, we had a third baseman that hit homers. Get him back in there!

O'flaherty with a poor outting. Nice assist by Frenchy.....ok i'll stop now :p

Too bad. I was hoping moylan would get the night off.

O'Flaherty!!!

Emilio!!!

I don't know why, but I always want to yell O'Flaherty's name like that. Random, I know.

Dear Lord Moylan........game is getting out of hand.

Don't we have some kid named Medlen back there that we never use? Use him!

O'Flahs apparently contagious as he has passed it along to Moylan. Sometime tonight...we're going to regret having used both Gonzales and Soriano so much the last few days.

I'm normally in the camp of cutting Bobby some slack, but his management of the bullpen (and lineup) this season has me seriously wondering if age has caught up to him.

I've never trusted his management of the bullpen. McMichael anyone?

The lineup I don't mind as much as he hasn't always had the luxury of having true lead off and power clean up guys the last few years.

I will no longer have any hope for this team as long as Bobby is the manager. His use of the bullpen is horrendous.. Moylan should sue Bobby for trying to wreck his career coming off Tommy John Surgery

slowride
06-13-2009, 10:58 PM
Well....I'm guessing bobby will throw Soriano....because.....he's on shrooms.

But at least we have the top of the lineup coming up in the 9th right?

GeneGarberForPrez

Would it make sense not to pitch Kawakami and Hanson on back-to-back nights? They are the two guys least likely to go deep in games. That way, you don't unduly tax the bullpen on consecutive days. If you stick Hanson between, say Lowe and Jurrjens, maybe you keep the arms in the bullpen a little fresher?

slowride
06-13-2009, 11:15 PM
Cox would be sure to get them in there either way.....

Is Medlen in Bobby's doghouse? Flat-billed cap or something piss him off? This guy is wasting away in the bullpen and he needs to be in AAA if he's not going to be used up here.

He's the "long reliever."

He's here so Jeff Bennett can be a set up guy.

Missed the game, but wow, that's a frustrating box score to read... Moylan continues to give up runs, and O'Flaherty has had two rough outings in a row.

And I agree with you guys about Medlen, the kid has some good stuff, why aren't we using him?

If the Braves had sort of half followed your advice Hanson would have playing long reliever. Thank goodness they were paranoid with service time.

Probably. But, then, if they had completely followed my advice, things would be different.
