Does anyone have the Braves playoff roster? I haven't seen it. Are there any surprises? Any blatant smackdowns?

Only thing I've heard is that Saito and O'flaherty are out.... and Beachy in.

The most recent update I've seen has Freeman, Saito, Kawakami, O'Flaherty, Minor, Jurrjens, and Boscan not making the cut. O'Flaherty, Saito, and Jurrjens are all out as a result of injuries. Kawakami is a clear case of basically being benched for most of the second half. With Venters' arm basically dead as well I'm hoping the Barves starters are ready to go 7 innings every time out because the bullpen doesn't look very deep right now.

I can't see Proctor making it. With O'Flaherty out, I'd have to go with Dunn.

I heard Dunn is in as the 11th pitcher because Eric O is out. That makes a whole lot of sense but it's just conjecture at this time. I thought they needed to nail this roster down before the post season officially started but it looks like they get to wait until just before their first game to lock it.

There also seems to be some question about who the last posit players will be between Glaus, and Melky. Most sites are referring to Diory as a lock because he is their only middle infield backup now which makes sense. So, if it is really down to Glaus vs. Melky and Glaus can stand upright while holding a bat, I'd take Glaus. But, Melky will probably get the nod because he can stand up at the plate from the right side when Sanchez pitches and bumble around in CF. Hopefully he'll coax a couple walks off the often wild lefty and not mess up on defense.

Proctor can't possibly make it over Dunn, can he? Dude barely pitched for the team and didn't pitch well.

Also, sorry if this has already been covered, but how is Beachy eligible for the postseason? Wasn't his first game in mid-September?

Anybody in the Braves organization (minors included) before September 1st is eligible for the postseason roster. I think they may have to take the place of an injured player from the 25 man roster, but I'm not sure about that.

From Twitter, our PS Roster for the NLDS is:

IF's (7): Conrad, Glaus, Gonzalez, Hernandez, Hinske, Infante and Lee.

Pitchers (11): Beachy, Dunn, Farnsworth, Hanson, Hudson, Kimbrel, Lowe, Martinez, Moylan, Venters, Wagner

Catchers (2): McCann and Ross.

OFs (5): Ankiel, Cabrera, Diaz, Heyward, McLouth

Our vaunted relief core sure looks different now. Lots of very young players, and our third and fourth starters are kids, even if Hanson is in his second year. Our outfield looks impotent, as we knew it would, but for HeyWood. Oh, well. This is what we are going with.

It's a scrappy group; we'll hold our breath, I guess. I love the bullpen, aside from Farns (not much faith in him) and Martinez (creep).

I guessed right when you add Dunn to the one spot I wasn't certain about.

This offense is so weak. Many of these guys need to play above their heads if we are to make any noise at all.

Nate McLouth...will pull an Eddie Perez circa 1999 NLCS against the Mets.

You know who else was scrappy? Mark Lemke.
