JUST KIDDING!!!

No trade news, dadgummit.

Are we just standing pat? See poll....you can pick more than one option....

I voted that we'll get a pitcher before the trade deadline, but I'm not sure that will even happen since general managers are apparently asking for way too much for their relievers.

Don't do that! I voted they will acquire a pitcher and a bat before the deadline. Mainly cause...I demand it be so.

I voted a bat before the deadline and a pitcher after the deadline. I suspect the Braves will get another outfielder to help out in LF and CF since there's plenty of room for improvement. The bullpen could use a little more help and the Braves have acquired a number of relievers after the deadline in the past. I suspect the Braves will acquire an average reliever at some point to take Chavez's innings and ensure the young relievers aren't relied upon down the stretch.

I voted bat before the deadline.... i think we WILL nab an OF'er in the next 24 hrs.

To be honest, every time I read the title I black out for about a second before reassuring myself it's not true.

Ugh. So glad he is gone.

I saw someone selling an authentic (like, the $149 kind) autographed Jeff Francoeur jersey on eBay today for $40. No bids. (http://item.ebay.com/260641066142) Sad.

Poor Jake Delhomme remains haunted.

Forget him. Poor Braves fans. We remain haunted by that cover.

That thread headline almost gave me a heart attack. You guys should hear what is being said in New York about Jeff. Same things we used to say all the time.

Hey Bryce! What would it take to get Jayson Werth? I know it's absurd, but Atlanta could use his bat and outfield talents. How much money will be available if/when Chipper packs it in? I don't think the Phils realize how vital his bat is in their lineup. Think back a few years....we had the best pitching staffs for years and our lack of legit offense killed us in the playoffs. A bopper like Werth may well be worth parting with some talent for and the Phils have that great front three already!

Nice to see you with us again, Michael!

No way Philly trades Werth to us. That would be like them saying, "Here, Braves, take the 2010 NL East title from us and keep it for yourselves."

And seriously, the title of this thread has got to go. You'll kill someone with words like that.

That almost makes me feel sorry for the guy.

I must be becoming more optimistic because I saw the thread title and reasoned there was no way Wren could be stupid enough to trade for him back.

Are there any good links to NY stories about Francoeur? I feel as Braves fans we deserve the opportunity to see Francoeur's performance get torn to shreds by the NY media.
