I caught part of the game today on the radio today and heard a funny story about wags. Some of you may have already heard it but anyways. Powell was talking with wagner during the club house report. Wagner was explaining how he was a long time braves fan and demands that his boys respect the game and how dale murphey played the game. He went on to say that when he throws BP to his boys if one of them gets hold of a ball and begins to get all giddy about it, HE HITS THEM WITH THE NEXT PITCH. That cracked me up...I mean just imagine having a flamethrower like wags for a dad tossing you BP if you get lucky a hit one out, I know I couldn't help but get a little excited about it..Then BAM next pitch RESPECT THE GAME KID!! In all seriousness I think it is great he teaches his kids to play the game right, just thought it was funny.

I wonder how hard he throws the beanball to the kids?...

I wrote a poem on the board for Wags after Tuesday's game and then "poof", he blows a save, which he almost never does. No more poems from me--I think I jinxed him.

It's a shame Wagner wasn't around to throw batting practice to Andruw Jones a few years ago.

He could have thrown BP to Yunel this year....

Did Escobar even hit a ball well enough to get excited about it this season?

I think it's asinine to throw a baseball at your kid. I hated it when Roger Clemens' stupid redneck a$$ did it to his kid in minor league BP a few years back, and that opinion hasn't changed. I'll make sure to pass that on to Billy the next time I see him.

How many times do you guys think he's actually plunked his kids?

I'd say it's related to how often they piss in the bed.

Hopefully not true.

/sadly, an every night occurrence in the Wagner household.
