Hanley hit a homerun in the top of the first. Medlen didn't allow another run in his 5 1/3 inning. He exited with runners on first in third in the sixth and Moylan got the groundball he needed to end the inning with a double play.

Martin Prado has driven in Gregor Blanco twice today. Both times it came on two out base hits.

Gabby Sanchez tied the game up in the ninth with a solo shot off of Billy Wagner.

We're now in the bottom of the ninth with one out and Escobar at the plate.

The Braves couldn't win it in the ninth, but Venters kept it even in the top of the tenth and the top of the order is up for the good guys in the bottom of the tenth.

Go Braves!

Actually, Medlen got one out in the 7th... Moylan made 'em look good by getting a DP. Need one now! Bases juiced with one out ....

Gamecast made no explanation but the Marlins plated one run to go up 3-2. Wha' hoppened?

Omar battles and hits the seventh pitch to left for a single driving in the tying and winning runs! Braves 4-3!

Credit to Cox....sending in Hicks to pinch run made a difference. I didn't see it but I doubt if Glaus lumbers home from second on the hit...

They couldn't find the code for a "busted squeeze-rundown-dropped throw at home plate".

Infante with the winning hit but Prado is the game MVP. I like that dude more every day - love his attitude out there. I might name my next dog Prado.

Braves did their best imitation of the Nats in the top of the 11th - would have been a sad way to lose.

It was a tough night in general for fishies - the Marlins lose and the Japanese whalers are kicking the Whale Wars guys' butts.

My pics (http://braveslove.blogspot.com/2010/07/game-day-pictures-braves-vs-marlins-7-2.html) from Friday - nothing special except a sailor who looked like Josh Anderson!
