Aww, now I want to know what it was. ;)
Yes, I went to the thingie today and had a FAB time. I finished editing my pics but it's awfully late tonight... I should be able to upload some tomorrow and tell some stories then too. Here are two I already uploaded of Eric O'Flaherty: Q&A (http://i50.tinypic.com/16kymvo.jpg) ~ bucket (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs517.ash1/30460_404420807055_337833732055_5062876_3149703_n.jpg). He's so photogenic, but he wouldn't win any personality awards.

If you guys are interested in reading my stories from the day, including a pic of Jonny Venters asking about my two-seam fastball technique, I put it all up on Braves Love today. Link (http://braveslove.blogspot.com/2010/06/2010-baseball-101.html)

I hope you got a good sampling of the fine outfield grass and pasted it to your scrapbook....

I don't scrapbook, and it wasn't my first time on the field. ;) It was a really fun day, though!

Perhaps you don't scrapbook, and perhaps you've been on the field before, but I bet you don't have a grass sample in your collection and still don't. Heck, I would want to go out past the centerfield wall and get me a square foot of that growing sod and plant it somewhere in my yard. But, hey, I love that Greg Norman hybrid grass....;)

You're coming off very rude, just so you know. They have very strict rules about the grass and you're barely allowed to touch it with your feet, much less anything else. The idea of being able to take a sample of more than a blade is pretty ludicrous.

Rude? You must have missed your coffee today and be slow on the uptake. There is a winky after my post. I understand you can't just whip out a shovel and take a chunk home--but, if it were me, I would surely have asked if there was a sample I could take. They worst they'd say is, "no." It is the best looking grass in the known world, and this is coming from someone who has a pretty awesome Emerald Zoysia yard.
Indeed, if I were in Braves marketing, I would make sure growing samples were made available for sale in some kind of clever packaging. As much time as they spend marketing the grounds crew, it only makes sense--heck, at least as much sense as selling parts of old seats and railings in stadiums.
