Not at all. Anybody who wants to start the thread is more than welcome.

You just misspelled "Barves". :p

There goes Prado's 1st a bat 5 game hit streak. Too bad. Would have been nice to see it continue.

Sorry to confuse you. We've been referring to the team as the Barves around here. You did originally type "Braves".

By the way, a barve can also (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Barve) be small, six-legged animal raised for its meat. Their unclean reputation led to the word barve being used across the galaxy as an insult. The insult was especially prevalent among bounty hunters.

Good hustle from Heyward to get on base after the strike out.

Kershaw makes the first three hitters look foolish.

Hopefully Kawakami will get some run support tonight and pick up a win.

yikes, he struck out the side.

And the fourth hitter, too.

Saito DL'd, Kimbrel called up, btw.

Jair Jurrjens also pitched a simulated game.

Leadoff walk to Furcal...probably not the best idea.

Runners on the corners, nobody out...and hopefully, Kawakami can limit some damage here.

Come on Kawakami settle in and get some strike outs. That was a scary looking Sac fly.

chicagobrave
06-04-2010, 11:24 PM
That was an awful throw from Ross.

Kawakami won't get hurt by lack of run support...he will just have an awful game.

The ground-rule double actually helps as it keeps Loney from scoring.

chicagobrave
06-04-2010, 11:32 PM
Kawakami looks like he is throwing batting practice. This is getting scary already. The Braves got a break there. It looked like that pitch was going to leave the park without bouncing over the wall.

Chris_Moderato
06-04-2010, 11:33 PM
It's only two runs. Hopefully the Barvos can post some runs this inning.

Hobbes
06-04-2010, 11:34 PM
Mercifully the inning ends without further damage.

chicagobrave
06-04-2010, 11:35 PM
Now the offense needs to get up there and figure out how to get hits to score runs. That could have been a lot worse than it was..

chicagobrave
06-04-2010, 11:48 PM
This is going to be a long night if the offense does not produce runs when they have a chance to. Stranding base runners does not tend to win games.

chicagobrave
06-04-2010, 11:51 PM
Nice play by KK. Scary but it worked.

chicagobrave
06-04-2010, 11:54 PM
KK please figure out how to pitch without giving up any more runs. The offense can not score unlimited runs to bail you out tonight.

I know Furcal can run but is something wrong with Nate's arm? He does not seem to want to try to throw out base runners lately.

Kershaw with almost 60 pitches through 3. Maybe we can tax their pen for some leverage for the next two games.

Peer to peer. I'm streaming the game. It just came up now. I'm not sure how it works exactly but somebody watching the game puts it on their computer as it's going on and they put a link up for people like me to watch it. I'm probably seeing the game about 10 or 15 seconds behind everyone else here but at least I can see it. I think it's frowned upon. It might actually be illegal but I'm not overly concerned about it. Cox Communications caught me downloading a movie once and they just sent me an email telling me to knock it off and erase the movie from my hard drive.

Looked safe to me.

chicagobrave

That inning went from promising to over in the blink of an eye.

jlcct

He did look safe but you gotta tip your cap to Martin. I just can't believe he got caught. Just another reason for me to continue hating on Melky Cabrera.

The offense needs to stop wasting opportunities. Too many left stranded so far.

It would have been nice if Omar had caught that or at least knocked it down.

KK did not look comfortable out there that inning. Perhaps someone should be warming up in the bullpen.

Ok guys stop swinging at garbage and make him earn outs while his location is off.

chicagobrave

Good at bat for Glaus to pick up the walk. Kershaw is gone after 110 pitches. 2 men on 2 outs. Hope someone can get at least one RBI here.
