Does anyone have this game or bought it? It's amazing so far, and it's improved even moreso than last year (obviously). I'd be interested in joining a ChopNation OOTP if you guys ever decide to have one... :)

I've only looked at it briefly. I know Tommy is playing an older copy. I have OOTPX, and I thought it was pretty good. I just feel a little like a sucker for buying it just about every year... and this year I got MLB10: The Show and have to say that I'm really happy with the level of depth in that product.

Care to share what really defines this year's game from last year's?

Yeah, I just don't feel like the game is that much worth the money over the free version of OOTP 8. I'm interested in some of the advancements, don't get me wrong, but I dunno...can't really force myself to buy this.

Disregard the discount because that was for the customers who pre-ordered the game way back in like March or February, but this basically is a feature list that OOTP 10 didn't have.

The face generator is crazy. There's this mod called All-in-One Mod that someone released. It includes ballparks images, data files for them, and correct information. It also has facegen for most players in the league and many in the minors. If you want to see how nice it is, just tell me which player you want to see a facegen made for and I'll post a screenshot of that player. :D

This is me! :D Had a friend make it for me though using the FaceGen.

This season, modders have created FaceGen images for pretty much all the players in MLB, a lot of Minor Leaguers, hundreds of historical players, and the list is constantly updated.

One of the best features is that free agents present counter offers. That's one of those things that I always wanted.

OOTP is such a good game, they seriously need to look at getting it out on consoles. I don't have a lot of time at home, but I would love to have it on PSP or something similar (heck, even my cell phone!)

Don't feel like starting a thread for this. I'm under the Wolverine Studios mailing list and the update for Puresim 3 looks really interesting if only for one thing.

New - TRU-Life Transaction Mode. Think you can do better than your favorite manager? Try Tru-Life Transactions mode, where player transactions happen just as they did in real life! All seasons from 1946-2009 are supported. You'll have to manage with the cards you are dealt.

Can you imagine the Teix deal coming down? Or the Grissom/Justice deal? Or Mike Hampton? And you have to deal with what is given to you. Almost intrigues me enough.

The one flaw I see in that mix is that the deals are often a result of the team's performance. How would you deal with having a star traded away even though you are in the thick of the race?? :headscratch:
