No in one season....that would be a record.

Thank you Kenny Mayne.

Yeah...I don't think anyone's close to 810 homers in a season!

Hey CBF, have you thought about just updating stats in the topic post rather than posting replies to the thread?

That certainly would make it easier to find. Although I am not going to complain too much either way. I don't think I could have that type of dedication.

I could do that. I am usually half asleep when I get the chance to update so I just do the "quote". :)

Just imagine all the money you could have won if you had made a bet that at some point in the season, McCann and Chipper would lead the team in stolen bases.

Moylan is going to be in a nice spot to pick up lots of cheap "wins" this season. (hint hint to fantasy baseball folks)

Updated. Tough loss tonight, but I like how this teams lineup looks. We are going to score a lot of runs, but I would like to see McLouth leading off

Looking at the stats after 6 games, just imagine how many RBI Prado would have if Melky could get on base.

Can we really blame Melky for being way miscast as a leadoff hitter?

I wonder how much better these stats would be if we had Randy mothertrucking B out here representing

Heyward is on average for 202 RBI. BEAST

The HR numbers are scary. I know it's early in the season, but damn... looking at the stats... it's hard not to lean on that J-Hey Kid to be your center piece on offense. I know that's a bad thing, but the vets like McCann and Chipper really need to step it up. And that's not even talking about almost the rest of our offense who's slumping (McLouth, Glaus, Melky, Yunel).

I agree. If you look at ALL of the other players besides Heyward, the totals after 18 games are 8 HR and 49 RBI. Over 162 games that projects to 72 HR and 441 RBI for everybody COMBINED! Add to that only 5 wins by the starters (just 2 for Hudson, Hanson, KK, and Jurrjens Combined), and just 1 save! YIKES. I wonder if Freeman and Schafer will be brought up in May/June?

I honestly don't see how one of them doesn't get called up at some time in May. Some things will improve (they have to, according to the law of averages), but Glaus is worrisome, but I think left field is a much larger concern. Some changes need to be made, be it Hinske sees more time at 1st and in the outfield or someone gets a call up or something. This crap is ridiculous. Our offense isn't going to product jack as long we have 3-4 guys providing the only legitimate threat for offense.

So far this season he's not hitting, hitting for power, or taking walks. To me his stats suggest he spends the rest of the season at AAA, or at least the first half of the season best case scenario. Schafer has yet to play this season and given his early struggles and injury problems last season I expect he will need at least half a season to get back on track. I don't see any minor league options unless is is a Nick Green/Charles Thomas type callup.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I am now back to live in Halifax, Nova Scotia to be with my ailing father. We all got the baseball package so we will be able to see all of the games. To all of my Braves friends who have been chatting with me over the past few weeks, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes for my Dad, he is ready for his battle with cancer, and is embracing baseball for the first time as a new activity to spend evenings with Mom and I. Go Braves!

My updates may be a little behind in the next few days. My Dad is having Cancer surgery on Thursday Morning and is in for a tough road. I should be around in the night times to update the Braves! We are using baseball to help us all through this tough stretch. Please keep him in your thoughts tomorrow. Thanks everybody!

We are now 44-22 minus the 9 game losing streak. So minus a 10 day stretch, we are playing at a 108-54 clip. Not too shabby!

At the moment (first of July) Prado leads the NL in total bases with 161 (one more than Poo-holes) and in hits with 111 (12 more than Brandon Phillips!). Way to go Marteeeen!
