I don't get too much into NCAA Basketball like I do other sports, but I have to speak up for my Irish. They have completely changed their brand of basketball shortly before the Big East Tournament and the results have been amazing. Even with Luke Harrangody missed action/not logging usual minutes, the Irish have won six straight with half coming against teams ranked in the top sixteen. They now stand in the Big East semifinals and have went from a team that was barely on the bubble to a team battling for a higher seed come Selection Sunday.

Now, granted, they won't compete for a seat in the Final Four, but they could make a run to the Sweet Sixteen with a little luck. Pretty happy with the Irish this year.

My JMU men's Dukes on the other hand...

Well, at least the Lady Dukes are doing very good.

We'll have to set up a bracket on Yahoo when the selections come in.

From the March Malaise department, did anyone see the clip from the N.I.T. game involving one joker punching another in the package? I didn't catch the teams, but I saw the play. I must admit, I believe it's the first time I've seen that kind of "offense" in a game of basketball!

Me too dream, I have two brackets one I got 8 out of 16 the other 11 out of 16....(yet the 11 out of 16 bracket put me in the 88th percentile!) I don't think we are alone!

Good to see my 10-seed Jackets upsetting 7-seed Oklahoma State.

I love that teams like Murray State, Cornell, and Northern Iowa are making their mark on this tournament. However, I'm still not for expanding the field and am excited to see my favorite power-house, Duke, challenge for the title.

By the way, Obama is so much smarter than me when it comes to college hoops. He picked Murray St to beat Vanderbilt, Cornell to beat Temple, and St. Mary's to beat Richmond.

Still, he picked Kansas to win it all...so...I got ya there, POTUS. My top two is still alive.

I just wanted to mention that I'm in first place in our pool thing. I'm in first in my office one too. It's so rare that I do well in these things that I feel I should mention it prior to Thursday. ;)

I'd really like to watch the Cornell-UK game tonight but a 10 PM start? No thanks.

And this is why I gloated while I had the chance. Screw you Syracuse. I will definitely pick you to lose in the first round next year. Take that!

I picked Butler to lose to UTEP. And now they are in the Elite 8.

Ouch. Still got my top two teams. Go Kansas St! Win all the way until losing to Kentucky.

There goes my number two team in my bracket. All up to Kentucky to bring my bracket any sense of accomplishment.

Knock on wood, but I'm currently in first in our bracket. I have Duke and Tennessee in the finals, so I need a big day tomorrow from both of them!
