We have no shot at the playoffs, but it is at least a little nice that we could finish in second in the division.

I agree, Hobbes. And it always feels great to beat the Mets!

I'm watching the game right now on MLB.TV. I know the outcome, but it's still a great way to spend a couple of late night hours. One question though...why is MLB.TV showing advertisements for Aussie Hair Spray and Shampoo? I get tired of the stupid GEICO commercials but I can at least understand why they are on with baseball. But beauty products? C'mon!

No team in the NL has a better record than the Braves over the past 10 games...it doesn't mean crap now but it's good to see that the team just didn't pack it in after the Reds series.

Straight women who care about beauty products watch baseball too. It's nice to not have all male-centric commercials. I'm personally tired of pervasive beer commercials, both because they're geared towards men and because I don't drink beer.

I drink beer and I'm tired of those commercials too. Condescending bastards.

Oh, forgot to mention... a couple of friends buy MLB.tv every year and give me their login so I can see games of other teams occasionally (or watch archived games), and I've never seen a commercial. One friend is in Illinois and the other friend is in Florida, if that matters.

Sometimes I get commercials, sometimes I don't. It seems like when they switch commercials, it screws up my pop-up blocker and I have to disable it for a while so that I can watch the game.
In the good 'ol days of TBS baseball, it seemed like they used to just rotate between commercials for Viagra, Preperation H and athlete's foot medicine. I don't know how much matket research these companies do, but it really made me wonder about the average Braves fan.
