Braves up 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th. Vazquez has a 1-hitter going.

Javier Vazquez is at bat in the 7th.
Isn't Greg Norton supposed to be hitting in this spot?

After 6 innings, the Braves only have 2 runs and 4 hits against Felipe Frickin' Paulino? Give me a break! The team's offense has basically shut down for the season.

Seriously. And we have the A team out there tonight so no excuses. We should have 8 runs against these jokers.

The Braves tend to struggle against pitchers they haven't seen 56 times.

EDIT: Four walks and a single in the last inning-plus for Javier Vazquez.

And he still manages to complete the 7th with the shutout intact.

Starting pitching continues to be awesome...it' seems like they have to throw a shutout for the Braves to win these days.

Win.
Soriano really got knocked around there. Thank goodness for the DP and Escobar's willingness to sacrifice his groin for the cause.

New Javy got two hits last night -- when's the last time Norton got two hits in one night? ;) New Javy's OBP is .246, and if I recall correctly, he leads all pitchers in sac bunts with 17. That's not bad for a pitcher. :D
