Jason Heyward, Freddie Freeman, and pitcher Tommy Palica have been called up to AA.

TO see that they were called up you have to read pretty far down in the article to where it talks about the Stat of the Day. Which is 3, the number of players called up!

He just never good take the next step, at least here.

But then, he was a player with plate discipline and that's just not an Atlanta Brave thing.

Yes, and it should also be a good test for Cody Johnson. He arguably could have been promoted as well but I think it'll be a good test to see how he responds as the top dog in the MB lineup now. He's done a nice job improving his bb/k ratio and lowering his K rate as the season has progressed (makes you think he's getting coaching from outside the Braves org ;) ). Without Heyward and Freddie in the lineup Cody's probably gonna get fewer pitches to hit. Hopefully, he won't regress by chasing after the bad ones.
