I blame the AJC for this stupid stuff. It's a cutesy little story written for fourth-graders about a guy the team should be preparing the city not to have to see anymore. Writing little fluff pieces like this sure doesn't help.

If Jeff wears it, it is always turkey underwear!

Just don't pay attention to the AJC. Who cares? Why do you let this stuff bother you? It's like getting mad because ESPN isn't talking about the rest of the league as much as they're talking about the Mets, Yankees and Red Sox, or getting mad at any of their "experts" because they're bull sh*!t opinion doesn't make sense to you.
I never read anything written for SI, ESPN, FoxSports or any newspaper because their writers don't know more than every fan watching the games. I don't watch shows like Baseball Tonight or whatever the equivalent is on MLB Network, because those guys are just as bad. They're all idiots, and so is anybody who's opinion is affected by what they say.
(Idiots might be a little harsh, at least in regards to the fans at home. The guys on t.v. and writing for the papers and websites are truly idiots).
