When you go to a pitcher's game log there is now a link in the Pit column that links to the pitch f/x charts at brooksbaseball.net. (http://www.brooksbaseball.net/)

That, my friend, was some interesting stuff even though I didn’t understand 90% of what I just viewed. It’s not very useful to the casual fan like myself but I’m sure some pitching coaches and hard core sabermetricians eat this s#it up on a daily basis.

The link made me curious to find out more about Dan Brooks. Brooks’ bio states “his research includes experimental work with pigeons, humans, bonobos, and most recently, rats.”

I'll ask him. I'm not sure what a bonobo is either.
One of the best things about pitch f/x is being able to actually compare one start to another. Especially with release point, location, h and v break and velocity. You can really tell about how effective his "stuff" is. I don't look at the spin stuff myself
