Garrett's been hot lately, just wish he'd put more effort in defense and base running!

Let's go Tommy Boy! I can't wait to watch this game.

If the Braves don't put up atleast six runs today then their offense is truly horrible. Wang has been the worst starter in the MLB so far in 2009.

Can we re-title this thread "Yankees with their Wang out?" or "Tomahawked Wang" or "My Wang hurts"

The Braves are going to win each of the next three series. It starts tonight with our super stud getting some national attention by shutting down the Yankees. *knocks on wood*

Tommy wiggles out of a bases loaded jam, thanks to the pitcher coming up with 2 outs.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:45 PM
Don't hit one on the ground Fransewer.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:46 PM
oh my god, might he walk?

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:47 PM
Nope..he flies out instead.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:47 PM
and that brings up Kelly "cramps" Johnson.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:53 PM
who fails

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:54 PM
Jeter with a double to lead off the 3rd.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 07:55 PM
Big first out for Tommy. He may end up giving up a run here, but retiring Swisher may allow him to minimize damage.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:00 PM
ARoids K's!! Runners steal, so 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. One more Tommy.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:01 PM
CAno flies out...3 down...no runs for the Skankees!

06-23-2009, 08:04 PM
Hanson's looking good for a guy making his fourth start. He's thrown a lot of pitches and has put guys on base, but he's getting the big outs.

Go Braves!

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:11 PM
Braves cooking with 2 outs....runners on first and third for Mac.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:11 PM
Double for Mac!! Yunel scores, Chipper to third. 1-0 Braves.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:12 PM
the slug now makes his way toward the plate

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:15 PM
GA doubles! Braves lead 3-0.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:23 PM
Hanson in hot water again.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:28 PM
bases loaded again

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 08:28 PM
and he wiggles out again.

Fransewer stinks again.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 09:22 PM
Moylan retires the Yankschmees in order...Swisher, Teixiera and ARoid.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 09:23 PM
Is Infante somewhat close to returning? I can't take much more of Kelly Johnson.

IkeWagner
06-23-2009, 09:33 PM
Perhaps Cox has realized that Soriano is our best closer.

Hobbes
06-23-2009, 09:57 PM
Two down, one to go.

With Hanson facing the Yanks I figured there'd be more folks around.

BRAVES WIN!!!

Wow! I did not see that coming. Great job by Hanson though and the offense came through when they had to.

The Braves have thrown consecutive shutouts for the first time since 2005, and we've taken the first game of the series against the Yankees. Hanson is 3-0. I have a good feeling about this team right now.

I have a good feeling about this team right now.

Of course you do - you're Gilley. We're still two games below .500, with an offense that is sporadic at best, nonexistent at worst, and a manager who should be on a steady diet of applesauce at the nursing home.

I'll have a good feeling about this team once we win 4 in a row for the first time since 1794. That would also put us back to .500.

Hanson's performances haven't been textbook pretty but you can't argue with the results so far...

Having baserunners all around him doesn't seem to bother him. He seems very poised, probably enough that he would be a good spokesman for Poise undergarments.

Hanson pitched very good and probably would have been able to go long if Chipper didn't make that error that prolonged the 4th inning.

I had to work late last night -- with a few breaks, I ended up turning off the laptop at 11:30pm. Note to those of you in college or considering a career change: NEVER work for a CPA firm in any capacity. (...Unless you like unrealistic deadlines and micromanagement, that is.) :wall:
